  1. I am a speed testing field and checking speeds of internet of various users on their request. I prefer http://www.check-speed.com as a mode to check speed.

  2. Speedtester, the check-speed site looks more like an overview site to me. And they all look the same anyway. A new low-tech worldwide speed test is available at http://www.ipingtest.com that is clearly aiming at a non-technical public.
